Bagi yang belum tahu, komisi 8 DPR RI menjadi bulan-bulanan PPI Australia di video ini. Komisi 8 melakukan “kunjungan kerja” yang kabarnya menghabiskan dana sebesar 800 juta. Namun, pihak dari pemerintah Australia sedang berlibur saat mereka datang sehingga sempurna sudah anggaran negara dibuang dengan percuma oleh mereka. Untuk meredam protes dari PPI Australia, komisi 8 DPR RI pun bersedia melakukan pertemuan untuk memaparkan tujuan mereka datang ke Australia. Saat teman saya, Dirgayuza Setiawan, menanyakan alamat e-mail kepada mereka, mereka pun kebingungan. Salah satu anggota ada yang nyeletuk e-mail mereka adalah komisi8@yahoo.com. Sudah e-mailnya memakai domain gratisan (yahoo mail), ekstensinya (dot)com pula, bukan (dot)co(dot)id. Lebih parahnya, setelah ditracking, alamat e-mail tersebut palsu. Sempurna sudah kelakuan wakil rakyat kita.

English Translation:

For those who don’t know, the 8th Commission of the House of Reps has been the laughingstock of PPI Australia (Australian Association of Indonesian Students) in this video. The 8th Commission did a “study trip” which has been believed to cost 800 million rupiah (93,000 US Dollars). However, the government representative from Australia is on vacation at their date of visit, hence the perfect opportunity to waste those government funds for nothing. To quell the protests from PPI Australia, the 8th Commission has proposed to meet with them to explain their purpose of visiting Australia. When my friend, Dirgayuza Setiawan, asked them for their email addresses, the 8th Commission was momentarily perplexed. One of the members spat out “komisi8@yahoo.com”. Aside from using a free email domain ((dot) com), it was not a local domain ((dot) co (dot)id). Even further, when it was tracked, the said email address was a fake. There goes the credibility of Indonesia’s government representatives.
